Default Any fancy medical practises in Perth?

Are there any modern/timely medical practices in Perth, NOR, with good doctors? Unfortunately I only end up in 70ies style old and unfashionable looking ones . Please advise.

What kind of medical practice and where in the northern suburbs? There is a brand new one just opened in Clarkson right across from the train station. There is a fairly new one in Jindalee. My GP's office at Ocean Keys is new and good doctors.

Just a normal GP practice somewhere around Joondalup.

I got to Dr Michael Beckett who is based at Beaumaris Family Practice on Consellation Drive in Ocean Reef. He is fantastic, good doctor, good practice.

Joondalup Medical Centre on Grand Boulevard. It's a very modern new looking building. Theres about 5 DR's there I think. I see an Irish male Dr there and have found him great. My OH see's an Indian lady Dr who managed to sort a problem he had for years in the UK and couldn't get a diagnosis for and my daughter sees yet an other Dr there so we've experienced 3 different Dr's and all have been great. They don't bulk bill for adults but the medicare office in in the same building so you can clam the excess straight back. The pathology lab is also in the same building if needed. OH needed an appointment this week, rang at 9am and was seen at 9.40 no problem. I find them great. Standard appointment costs about $21 now with the recent price increase, thats after medicare rebate.

Not sure what you mean about unfashionable. I'd be more concerned about making sure my GP is a good one rather than worrying about whether the decor is stylish. I work in a GP practice, many of the Dr's have been there for 30 + years, have a great rapport with their patients and are very caring and good at what they do - but on the downside the place is a dump and in Lockridge - but then I'm not too bothered by appearances. If you're looking for posh and trendy try somewhere in the CBD

I am not looking for posh and trendy but it should be a contemporary practice where you can see you are living in the 20th century, e.g. new equipment, which is quite important to get the best possible treatment. But also nicely painted walls and good looking furniture helps feeling better as well. I have been to some which actually look like being in a 3rd world country and for a change it would be nice to walk into a timely good equipped practice with good doctors.

Why does it need to be a contemporary practice?.You should be looking for quality of care, just because a practice has new equipment does not mean the gps will be better equipped to diagnose illnesses. You may find that the high tech practice is crowded and you dont get the time you need for a consult whereas the less sparkly one, the gps will spend the time with you and may be better in patient care (not about bums on seats).Where in the UK do you come from? Are the general practices freshly painted and have up to the min equipment there?.(lucky you if they did).Ask a few neighbours which practice they recommend instead.Oh and by the way Australia is known to be 15 years + behind anywhere else!!!(JUST THOUGHT I WOULD ADD THIS BEFORE SOMEONE ELSE DID).
