Default Any advice on unaccompanied luggage

We leave Blighty on the 24th October for Brissie Via Florida (10 Days) , and were thinking of sending a couple of suitcases with clothes / Shoes etc unaccompanied because we won't be able to get the extra hand luggage allowance, with us having internal flights in the US.

Any advice or comments ??????

We have been told by Air New Zealand today that we can do exactly this. London to Sydney for 2 suitcases approx. £267. (We are going via California).

Somebody already pointed out that www.excess-baggage.com have a counter on the concourse near Air NZ in Heathrow.

I presume they're cheaper than the airline.

I understood you got 60kg allowance each for the entire trip as long as the first stop is in USA and you booked the complete itinary at the same time. This is what we did last time.
