I also have a 139 submitted and am waiting for a CO. Not had the news about longer processing times yet, I'm hoping that is just speculation and there will be some movement very soon once DIMA have increased their number of regions to 6.

There's quite a few of us on the immigration forum on various threads - come and join us...

The thing about the longer processing times is speculation not fact - things have been at a standstill for a few weeks but we're all hoping, as Stu said, that things will speed up after this reorganisation.

Ours was 16th May.

Here's a link to the main 139 thread if you are interested, http://britishexpats.com/forum/showthread.php?t=333674

That email from visa bureau is not based on any information from DIMA - according to my agent some agents send these things out when visa grants slow down a bit to stop clients hassling them and they always exaggerate the timescales in that event so don't take it as gospel.

how can we check whether the DIMIA are still processing at their estimated timeframes? saying that our application has been in & acknowledged since feb (over 5 & 1/2) months ago and we have heard nothing yet!

Just keep checking this thread: http://britishexpats.com/forum/showt...59#post3796359 I personally cant believe the stories about the waiting time going up to 9 months, if this was the case then the assessing dates listed in the above thread wouldn't be able to change for months, and I'm sure that will not happen!

Do you email for the ASPC weekly updates so you can see where they are up to?

I haven't ever contacted them - we are using an agent so information goes through them. Indeed it was the Visa Bureau that sent the mail stating that the waiting times have increased.
supposedly the priority visa's have their own priority - lots of 138 visa's have been granted so i guess that comes before the 139.
just want the visa!!!

You can just send a blank email, it's an automated system, and it emails you back with the latest dates they're up to. It gets updated every Tuesday - [email protected]

We are 138's, submitted Feb 1st and we don't have a co yet.

138s usually take longer than 139s as 139 is priority and 138 isn't.
