Default Another pool question

We think our son has developed an intolerance to the levels chlorine in swimming pools. Still waiting for the diagnosis so I may be a bit previous here, but to be honest I prefer what I know about salt water pools anyway.

So, here's the question...
...if we bought a house which had a chlorine pool, how easy/possible is it to change over to salt water? We swam in a salt pool in Rockhampton and I loved it. Much nicer than chlorine IMO.

Also, if it isn't already heated (as I gather some are) is it possible (and expensive/difficult) to have solar heating installed?

Oh, I am so early with all this...we don't even have the visa yet!

Salt water pool is still chlorine The salt just helps to make the cholorine through the chlorinator. It smells tastes less strong than pure chemical, but deffo still chlorine.

Dont think you would need much pool heating in rocky Rather warm up there most of year

Thanks for that.

I Think I may have misled you a bit. We went to Rocky when we were over on holiday last year as that's where my mother was born and raised. I couldn't cope with the intense heat in Rocky at all.

We would love to settle in Brisbane, but are probably going to have to settle in Sydney because most of the suitable jobs are down there. I think a heated pool might be necessary there!
