Default Another great day in WA

Just finished another stint at decorating this pit! Pulled up the old lino in the 'dunny' and guess what was lurking underneath...no not a redback... a bloody porn mag and topless calender bit shocked to see a large lady with - er large assets staring up at me..gross! Anyway thought I'd share my amusement

We went to Carrramar this afternoon to enrol our 3 year old in swimming school - it was $63 for 9 weeks and our littly can go in the creche for $2! you don't even have to book the creche you just turn up. I have to go swimming with her to start with for that term then she can move up to the next class when she reaches a certain stage. Lovely pool there with a good kids playground (as at the end of most streets up here). Ed saw a roo on the way but I missed it as I was driving.

Went to medicare in Whitfords shopping centre - bloody big queue so took the forms to fill out at home. Thats a great shopping centre - good clothes shops too and shoes.

Ed has built me a path to the washing line today because half the lawn is sand and needs attention - bit puzzled about the gardening side of it here - might just do away with half the lawn altogether. You can only have the retic on certain days according to your house number but you can use the hose whenever you like.

Another funny thing is that some kids stole the ignition switch off the hot water boiler thats down the side of the house - apparently they do this to give themselves electric shocks Think there is a bit of a teenage boredom thing going on here with some kids which is sad with so many activities. In the paper last week they talk of closing the Quinns beach carpark because of an element of trouble. We did pop in there last week and there were a few young lads with cars - hardly on the scale of the UK though! They were just parked there.

Getting the car windows tinted tommorrow - it's not even that hot yet and you can feel your skin burning through the windows. it's $275 - yet more money...getting a bit twitchy about the expenses! tha't being done at a place in Mindarie. ( loads of these places are not pronounced how I had thought either!) ..it's 'mindaari' LOL

Well off to bed - keep staying up too late - might take my driving test tommorrow - you only have to pay if you pass and can take it as many times as you like anyway.

Later folks x

Hey Max, try the lino in the bedroom.
He may have stashed his cash there.

I was thinking what else are we going to find here! The dodgy carpets are going soon when I have finished splattering them with paint. We obviously want to do this place as cheaply as possible found some ok carpet for $22 sqm and some new lino for $19sqm.

Some things are cheaper - yesterday bought a garden rake for $1.47! We found a salvage place in Joondalup with bankcrupt stock some of the things were the same as at Bunnings Warehouse - most of it was crap but for example a sink plug was half the price than Bunnings for the same plug.

Anyhow when you off Bixter? How are the plans going?

Max

Hi Max,
Flying 29 Oct LHR - Hong Kong - Cairns. Arriving Halloween morning.

Dashing about like a blue one at the moment thinking we will never be ready.

We have given up on trying to sell our house and will now rent. That has created a mass of paperwork and arranging to do which we could have done without but has to be done.

We remortgaged to release equity to allow us to get on with the move so all these things came together.

For all that we are just awaiting the day we hop on the plane.

I was telling my sons not to wisecrack to any of the customs or immigration officials at airports or they could give them a hard time.

Not to worry they said, we'll be very serious and just tell them our dad is a diamond smuggler
