Another Flights Question
Hi,
Having now got our hands on the visa's it's time to get a move on.
Still struggling to finish the house ready for going on the market, but browsing through flight availability we have found some good deals all departing end of December. We need to be in Adelaide by beginning of February, even if it's just to validate.
Do you reckon it's worth booking them now, or wait a bit longer?
( i'm presuming the later we leave it, the more the prices increase?)

Hi,
We booked our flights just after we got our visa, going 8 weeks before the validation expiry just in case something goes wrong. To be on the safe side I would book now, you dont want to have problems getting the flight when you only have a short time left to validate.
We got return flights on the assumption that our house would not have sold by the departure date, our buyer has just lost his finance for the second time. We fly in 5 weeks.:scared:
Phil.

Cheers Phil,
Just what i thought, will book them ASAP.
Was there a big price difference with booking returns? As we've just been looking at One Way

For the five of us ( 2 adults 3 children) the return flights cost £2500, we were told that to book one way would be £2000 as the flight is a scheduled one. We cant get a refund on the (hopefully) unused returns but we can use them upto a year later.
Only other problem is if you are going out on a return you cannot ask for extra luggage allowance due to emigrating. (for which you also need an unstamped permanent residents visa).
Quantas do have some emigration deals though, best to ask.
Phil.
