We got a load of useful stuff at NZ car boots for ridiculous amounts!
Best I saw (but didn't buy) were very old bonsai trees, many varieties, for maybe 10% of what they would have cost in the UK.
We picked up 3 piece suites (2), table and chairs, trampoline, kids toys etc for not very much at all.

I managed to get hubbie to do just one car boot!
He flatly refused to do another saying they are so bloody boring. He hates them with a vengance.
We are trying to sell things to family and friends instead, the rest we will just give away or chuck.
To be fair, we are taking most things with us so we don't have alot to sell anyway.
The fact that I love mooching through stuff and could spend all day doing it has put him off. I found it really hard not to buy anything at that car boot sale.

Did one carboot, ages ago. It was soul destroying, I must be cr@p at flogging my stuff! I would recommend e-bay though, got £30 for a cooker hubby wanted to take up the dump.

Had one on the last Bank Holiday, only small things to sell really, plus a couple of bikes and a computer - managed to sell one of the bikes just walking it onto the field... rest of the day went just as well. Definate profit on the £6 table fee

Yeah, I started off using that & you're right, very addictive. You check and its on £5 one bid, later that day its on £50 5 bids and so on! I made a couple hundred quid, then flogged the lot at the car boot - was getting bored of making trips to the Post Office at lunch also
