No - just being a carpenter is a licence to print money in itself

I was od the understanding that you would need a license. Like every trade over here you need a license???!!!

You need to be licensed or registered for EVERYTHING over here. Be prepared to fill in lots of forms and paperwork!

I'm not sure about carpentry, but most likely you will need a licence. Most Tradies need one to work. You will earn more money with the proper papers.

Hi there,
Just check out this website at http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/occupati...-13.htm#qldlrr
Of course I don't know what carpentry you exactly do...but this is where you can find all the info about registrating requirements in all states for loads of jobs.
Good luck!

In QLD/NSW
You only need a licence if you wish to be a subcontractor or a contractor. You can easily find work with a company that has a licence and is prepared to take you on. The wage is not as good as if self employed as there's far less responsibility.
