Airtrain Benefits??

Can anyone enlighten me as to the benefits of the airtrain, from what I can see it is more expensive and takes the exact same amount of time as a standard train.

Looking at a friendlier alternative to the every man womand and child for themselve daily commute into the CBD from Coomera (I know the train airtrain goes from Helensvale)

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Sean

The main benefit of the airtrain is (and this may come as a bit of a shock) it goes to the AIRPORT.

If as you suggest you only want to get to the CBD from GC, then theres no benefit whatsoever....

They do tend to use newer trains for that service. So that might be counted as a plus.

All of the trains from the Gold Coast go to the airport, apart from late at night. It is the same train, and is only more expensive is you actually go to the airport because the last part of the line is owned and operated by a different company. This is the same train that stops at Helensvale and Coomera.
