Ah Yeah, Yeah no, etc!!
One thing i have noticed in Aus which i love is the term Ah Yeah, said in a slow sort of drawl, ah yeah covers the lot. eg.
how you doing? answer: ah yeah!! how was match? answer: ah yeah!! the police are chasing you, watch out!! answer: ah yeah!! these two words have a thousand meanings, it is totally up to you how you decipher them. My other favourite is yeah no!! (bear with me) EG: Hi Mr Smith is that order on it's way? Answer: Yeah (Me thinking, great another order) no there has been a hiccup, me: :confused: but you said yeah first? it happens all the time look out for it :D mm |

We came to the conclusion that its a multi purpose verb, noun or expression depending on circumstances and usually means exactly what you thought it didnt :) |

What about 'aw, look' as well as a sentence starter & 'yeah' as a sentence end :rolleyes: !
