Ah Yeah, Yeah no, etc!!

One thing i have noticed in Aus which i love is the term Ah Yeah, said in a slow sort of drawl, ah yeah covers the lot. eg.

how you doing? answer: ah yeah!!

how was match? answer: ah yeah!!

the police are chasing you, watch out!! answer: ah yeah!!

these two words have a thousand meanings, it is totally up to you how you decipher them.

My other favourite is yeah no!! (bear with me)

EG: Hi Mr Smith is that order on it's way?

Answer: Yeah (Me thinking, great another order) no there has been a hiccup,

me:  but you said yeah first?

it happens all the time look out for it :D

Aww yeah !
My wife and I spent some time musing over this very thing today oddly enough. We came to the conclusion that its a multi purpose verb, noun or expression depending on circumstances and usually means exactly what you thought it didnt :)

I say it too and have for a while, normally used when someone says something that does not have a clear cut answer.

Instead of saying "it depends" I'll say "ah yeah" as a prefix
