Which agent to export my cats?

Hi everyone, hope you can help. We are in the final stages of arranging our permanent move to Aus on a 175 visa. Everything is going well, but we also need to make arrangements for our furry friends to travel as well. They happen to be 2 very large and friendly mainecoon cats who represent our family in the absence of children!! We're settling in Brisbane so they'll have to go to Sydney for a month which is all fine.... but who should we use?? All the quotes we've had so far are very reasonable considering the effort involved. Have any of you out there used any of the following pet transport agents from the UK? We're your pets treated well, did you feel reassured they we're in safe hands, would you recommend them to me and why? I know it's quite a broad inquiry, but I'm sure someone can help. The candidates are: Airpets, Parair and Ryslip. The transfer from Sydney to Brisbane would be undertaken by Dogtainers (who also deal with moggies too!!)
Cheers, Tom.

We used Air Supply Shipping for our two. They were extremely professional and very kind.

Hi There, We used air pets at Heathrow and they were very good and we had no problems with them, If you ask them they will run you through the whole process , We also used dogtainers for the shipping from eastern creek to Brisbane and they were fine to. I hope that helps.

Another vote for Airpets, shipped dog to Perth with no problems.

Hi, we used Airpets and dogtainers for our 2 cats too. Both were fantastic. We used the quarantine facilities in Melbourne, rather than Sydney, because the details on the websites said that the runs were bigger - I would recommend looking into this with such large cats. Melbourne were fantastic, and both cats were very happy and healthy when they arrived on the Gold Coast. My sister-in-law visited them a couple of times in Melbourne, and was very impressed with the staff there.

Another vote for airpets, exported our Shih Tzu in November, all i can say is that the bloke that we dealt with ( Eddie Martin ) was absolutely fantastic. Would reccomend him to anyone ( and no, i'm not on commision ).

Excellent service

Hi Tom
We used Pet Travel Services who are based in Dunfermline in Scotland. Then JetPets from Eastern Creek to Brisbane. We have no complaints about these 2 companies. PTS arranged everything for us. All we had to do was make sure the cats were both microchipped and had all their vaccinations up to date. We were given the name and mobile number of the person who was looking after them in quarantine and could phone them any afternoon to ask how they were doing.

One small gripe - they arrived in Brisbane a bit matted even though it did state that they would be groomed. Apart from that they seemed to be well looked after and settled into Aussie life with us within the week.

We used Ryslip for our two bengals, had no problems with them at all. Used dogtainers to bring them up to Brisbane and they were absolutely fantastic. We had a major problem that meant we didn't get the go ahead for them to be released from quarantine until mid afternoon on the Friday when they were being released on the Sunday - Dogtainers had everyone waiting for my call to get the boys up here so they could book flights etc and even though they got the call after the cut off time they gave me they still managed it. They couldn't have been better.

Hi, we have a Shih Tzu too. Did yours travel okay? I'm a bit bothered about him travelling with having the 'short nose' problem!

Our is an extremely timid/nervous 6 year old bitch. Had to have all the blood teste/microchip etc but the dog travelled with absolutley no problems whatsoever. It was a bit difficult seeing her in quarantine and not been able to take her home but thats only for a month. She's now settled in very well and has no problems with the climate etc. In Quinns Rocks ( Perth) it seems as though Shih Tzu's are more common than the preverbial mess that they make.

Hi, and thanks for that. Ours is nervous too and I'd stress more leaving him behind!

LG :)
