Default After 3 years wait. Ive finally booked the flights

We are off. August 17th. Jesus. Cant quite believe it!!

We are flying singapore air (fantastic airline) Get my 40kgs as standard and we are flying in to siingaore for a night stopover then flying to Krabi in thailand with www.tigerairways.com for a weeks break on a thai island to get used to the timezone and break up the journey a bit.

Our return flight was £40 each including all taxes etc check out their website its well cheap. Or try www.airasia.com These are like easyjet etc in asia

We have been waiting for 2 years now with VISA in hand.

The missus had a virus that knocked her for 6 and she got M.E. and was only diagnosed last year. She is/was seeing a specialist who we cant recommend highly enough.

If you know anyone suffering then get them to see this guy before he goes on his world tour with his book www.theperrinclinic.com

He is the countries(if not the worlds) leading specialist in M.E. and had Clare back up and off within a year (he initially said 18 months but she has followed his advice to the letter and recovered quicker).

Im so happy. In six months she has gone from 40% well to 90% and is on the up weekly now. A year ago going out for a meal would have knocked her out for a week.

Thats the only reason im writing this as its been such limbo waiting for her to get well again. The goalposts always seemed to move and oz seemed further away each time. Its been an agonising wait and now it seems so real that im having a bit of a wobble about whether its the right thing to do or not LOL, after all this time waiting!

I cant bloody wait.

I suppose the good thing is that we have discussed everything in detail of what EXACTLY we want. I already have my rose tints off by spending 3 years reading this invaluable site for all the ups and downs of people on the move.

Thanks to all that have given me advice, and most of all sorry to those who i have abused over the years. (unless you deserved it, LOL)
Its been a streesful time, but ive had more time with mates and rellies, and most of all found out so much and everything is planned down to a tee of what sort of house we want in what sort of area, and plan b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l, and so on just in case plan A goes tits up

Remember. The more plans you have the more chance of you being happy.

Good luck all.

p.s. northerner and hedgehogs. See you for a bbq and several beers in Manly, im buying!!!

Al and Clare

Good luck - make sure you post your experiences once you get here! And I'm really pleased to hear Clare is so much better - lets hope she continues to improve.

Hope the move is everything you hope it will be. I'm sure the weather will help with Clare's health issues too.

Good luck Al and Clare you have been through so much and glad that things are going well for you.
I know how hard it has been and you so deserve this.
Let's hope the sunshine will improve Clare's health for the last 10%
Take care,
