Hi

Can anyone advise if there are any complications if I were to buy a share of the company I am working for. I haven't lodged my visa application yet as am in the process of getting my skills assessment.
Will I have to declare this when I lodge my application and is it going to cause any problems? If so would it be better to buy in my wifes name?

I dont think it matter's as you will be subject to captail gains if you make money out of the shares. If you sell them in the Uk you will be taxed on interest. If you have already used this years limit of Captital Gains you could use your wifes allowance to purchase. But....

I bought some shares in the company i work for a couple of months ago , but to be honest wished i never had.. keep your money safe is my advise, unless you have lots to throw around.

I dont think you have to declare shares on application, why should they be bothered.? however if you tried to sell them once your in Aus, that is another question.? Im sure someone on here will help.
