Advice on WA
 

Hi all,
I am looking for some advice on WA in particular Perth, myself and OH are currently in Tassie and are looking to make the move to Perth, we will be going over for a trip in a couple of months but don't want to be wasting time looking in the wrong places. We have done some on-line research and quite fancy being north of the city and not too far from the beach, we don't have the worry of schools but we would like to be around some shops, pub, cafes, ect, ect.
The Info I am looking for is as follows:
1. Available work for carpenter/builder and OH hairdresser
2. Good suburbs (we tend to like newer houses)
3. Average pay rates for the above jobs.

Any and all advice would be welcome.
