Advice on rentals in Manly, Sydney
Hi - my partner and I are moving out to Sydney for 2 years in October and looking to rent a 1 bed apartment in Manly.
Any advice out there from fellow Manly'ers on where to look or what to avoid?
All advice greatfully received!
Thanks

I suggest you to take rental homes. This is the best option, because in that you get fully furnished house with all needed household things.

If you are a party animal try the centre: you see it all there. Drugs, fights, vomit by the bucket, smashed windows - the whole shebang. 24/7.
However, go half a mile out of the centre - an easy walk - it's very different, quiet tree-lined avenues.

Don't go for the centre, as Wol said. We rented a holiday apartment in Wentworth street when we first arrived- one street away from the Corso and were constantly woken up in the early hours by bottles being emptied into/from bins. Avoid the touristy/bar bits at all costs.
