Advice needed for jobs in NZ
Hi all
My hubby applied for a job in NZ. He works in the aviation industry. We had an e-mail to say that the posts have been filed, but they will review the jobs again in early 2004. They have said in the e-mail that if we go there for a holiday to contact them and arrange for an interview. Do you think that it would be worth taking a vacation there and arrange an interview, would it increase his chances of getting the job!. If yes we will go in Late Feb 04. any advice most welcome. Also we have decided to start the emigration process now so any info on this process would be great. I feel like im on a roller coster, but we know it will be worth it in the end.

We are just about to fly out to the South Island for a month to look for a job. It's the only way really as I can see it to get a job, after all very few people will be offered employment the other side of the world without some kind of face2face contact! So, certainly it would show Air New Zealand that he is serious about moving and wanting to work for them. Plus you'll get a great holiday as well!!
BTW ref to your other post, why not fly with Air New Zealand. We got a great deal for £760 each with Travelbag, plus AirNZ fly via LA which increases your baggage allowance a lot compared to flying via Singapore - strange but true!
Anyway I hope it all goes well for you.

Paul,
hope you have a great holiday and sucess with the job-hunting! Which line of work are you in! Have you anything set up in terms of interviews etc and any idea where abouts you would like to settle.
We hope to be in Christchurch within six months or so if this blessed house ever sells!! That's definately the most stressful part for me anyway!
All the best,
