Re: ADVICE NEEDED FROM EXPATS
i will try it out australia and see how i get on. all my jobs came with interviews face to face then trail peroids of work, when you are settled in employment and the pay is right i guess there is a feeling of not needing to be in college, i might start a course in australia, fingers crossed for me getting a job. Any work will do cleaning the roads drain unblocker i dont care as long as the banter is good and the sun is shining.

But it really is up to you, I have friends who've found jobs in a few days and others who've taken upto 6 months (I'm on the Gold Coast). Prepare for it, dont stress too much, if you are coming out on the holiday visa, come for sun and to enjoy yourself. It took me ages to find work... but I suppose it only happened when I stopped bumming around on the beach... :) Do however keep in mind that Australia is a very difficult place to stay in, as in the migration laws are difficult, once you've done your year it might be harder to stay longer. You can extend if you do seasonal work for three months. Getting sponsored by a company is more diffiult. Either way, come for the fun of it. -B |

Re: ADVICE NEEDED FROM EXPATS
I have re-read this whole thread a few times to try to work out what's what
But I am sure the OP will realise that jobs in his line (Quote: and have been working with numerous companys in the uk as a electrician mate) may be available without needing to get an Electricians licence. |
