ADSL modem with router
I've recently bought a Belkin ADSL modem with wireless router as the router I bought originally from Dell was incompatible with my modem. Dell refunded the cost of the router and said throw it away as it wasnt worth them collecting, but obviously I've kept it.
My question is will the Belkin modem work OK in Oz? Thinking of selling the Dell router on ebay but dont want to get rid of it if I may need it down under.
Thanks

It will be fine but you may need to buy a modem cable that's suited to Oz style phone points. I think it may be just an "RJ-11 to RJ-11" cable you need but I don't know how oz phones are wired so i can't say for sure.
Modem itself will be fine.
[edit] on further investigation, i'm pretty sure that Oz uses and RJ-11 connector for phone sockets. Up until the 70's Oz used a 605/610 style of socket which was phased out to accomodate the new RJ-11 specification. Most homes should have RJ-11 sockets but if they have the old type, you can buy an 605/RJ11 adaptors.
