Ads directed at 'poms'
Right, have remembered my 'original' thread
Have noticed a few (radio) ads recently that are directed at British migrants.
THe main and most obvious one is for Foxtel. It's a totally british accent, and talks about making the missus happy with all the good shows from back home(or something like that).
There's another one with a british accent, very obviously trying to sound like Jamie Oliver, and I think it's promoting kitchens.
There's another one too I think, can't think of it... maybe involving houses.
Anyway, I think it's hilarious, and quite smart really, there are a lot of British migrants in Perth!

Adverts using stereotypes? Surely not,

The advert for the Brighton Estate in Butler features English northerners.
"Brighton, it's what a community should be like" (like Spain but without the Dagos)

Eastenders being marketed on Foxtel has put me right off.
Milo has a promotion for a holiday back to the UK but I haven't won yet
