I know it's kinda off the topic but i just wanted to express my fury.
To be able to read any documents on NZ immigration website, you need this acrobat thingy but i just went to download it and it'll take up to 2hrs!!!!!!I can't keep my phone line busy for that long(me being me,we have one phone line for net and phone use!)..is there any other way????????????

Hi Annie

Your best bet would be to buy a computer magazine with a CD stuck on the front cover (or DVD if your computer has a DVD reader). Most of these CDs or DVDs will have a copy of Acrobat Reader program.

You can pop the CD or DVD into your computer, install the software and then read the NZ docos.

Good luck,

If you go to the following link

http://download.com.com/3000-2079-10...ml?tag=lst-0-1

This is a pdf text viewer. It is only about 360k as opposed to the 8.5 Mb for adobe.

Haven't tried it but should be alright (make sure you virus check etc before using it)

This is a good little utility - but I doubt you can set it up as a plugin to your browser.

What this means Anniexx is that you'll have to download each PDF to your computer then run the utility to view the PDF file.

Good luck,

Most PC's have Acrobat pre-installed. Click here to see http://www.joenz.com/testpdf.pdf

It is a pretty important programme to have on your PC. If you choose to download it from a computer mag or from the web it may be in compressed (zipped) form. So before you unload it you may need to have a programme like WinZip installed first. That too can be got from a Computer Mag CD or from here http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm

Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from here ...
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

If when you do find that computer mag look also for Spybot S&D which is excellent at removing spyware ...
