adelaide v Perth
Have started to do our research about which areas will provide us with a greater quality of life and a chance of employment and have reached two conclusions. Does anyone have any views (one of us is a primary school teacher and the other one of us is a graduate statician who currently works in an office environment to maximise profits)
House prices are appealing in both areas thanks Susan and Rod |

Can't comment about employment in your industry. I'm very biased towards Adelaide - you have a big city with a country feel, easy commutes, easy reach of the bush and little more than a solid day's drive to larger centers (eg Melbourne). You're also not at the mercy of the airlines or a three-day drive across the NullarBORE if you want to go anywhere. Perth has its attractions too, but it really IS a hell of a long way from the rest of the continent! |

Employment rates are similar in both West Australia and South Australia. Adelaide is closer to much of inhabited Australia, Perth more remote and hence it is fairly expensive to reach the east coast. In general its economy is more dynamic. Thus future employment prospects are probably better. Tom |
