Hi, this is my first message on the board. I have really enjoyed reading the threads so far and was wondering if someone could help me.

Our application has reached the stage where the medicals have been sent off (3rd March) and we are awaiting the police checks to arrive. GULP! Our fingernails have never been so short!

Our intended destination is Adelaide and we are hoping to be there before the new school term starts in October. We are having great diffiuculty in finding out about the schools (Primary) in the area

How do we find out which are the good schools and which are not?

Hi Sindy,

We recently received our visas and also intend moving to Adelaide this year.......hopefully July (Housesale willing!)

We have enrolled our son(7) in a school highly recommended to us by friends.

Where in Adelaide are you heading?

We are unsure where abouts in Adelaide we will be going as we wish to find a good school first and then work around this. I have family who live in Seaford Rise, Mclaren Flat and Elizabeth so maybe somewhere in between these

Just so we could add it to any list of possible schools, could you tell us the name of the school recommended to you by your friend?

Thanks and good luck with the house sale, we are almost at the same stage, house due to go on market March 25th.

Trinity College isn't on the lists, I think because it's private, but with state funding. We've had the kids on the wait list for 2 years, people get on it from birth to guarantee a place. We even know who our son's class teacher will be and our friends are visiting it soon for us to pass on the 'feel' of the place which you can't get via a website.

Their website is way out of date anyway.

We didn't look at alternatives, so hoping we made the right choice.
