Adelaide to Melbourne road trip reccie accommodation
Hi,
We are making a reccie in Feb from Adelaide to Melbourne and wondered if anyone knows of cheap accommodation for 1st night in Adelaide and 1st night in Melbourne please? Not hostels and nothing sharing, just a cheap place to start from then we can find the next one as we go, pubs of course very welcome if you know a good one or two??

Princes Lodge Motel, North Adelaide. About $90 for a nice room. Nice old style place. Also pick up a motel guide from the Adelaide tourist office, but we found you can't go wrong with the Golden Chain group. They have motels in nearly every town, all about $100 per night and very often all brand new / renovated.
