I would say in Bridgewater.it's less expensive.try this site

I'm building there now. Quaint little town, quite Englishy. Takes less time to get to the cbd than from Burton or Seaford.

We have are in rental in the hills in Piccadilly.Weasy's just bought a house in Bridgewater for a good price.Friends of ours are going to Mount Barker - they love it there and $250,000 will buy you a nice house.Horses for courses and all that!

Yep - we've bought in Bridgewater and love the place. Quite a few around for under $400,000 but prices seem to be on the up quite quickly here.

Only 25 minutes to the CBD too.

Is there a decent river nearby in the hills area to go kayaking etc or would it be a trip to the coast ?

$250,000 in Mount Barker to have one built - it's quite a commute to the city, but I hear some do it.
