Adelaide to Canberra and back - driving?

In a couple of weeks theres a car show and the chance to catch up with the VW crowd. Due to our UK trip in November I've only got three days off. Was gonna drive there Friday leaving at 6 then drive back at 12 on Sunday. Am I really mental?

Can anyone tell me if they survived this drive? My mate Wal did it in 10.5 hrs but he saw 235 kmp on the clock at one point :scared:
