Those that have here is a question:- Was it worth it? I'd love to know what you think of the change in life style, good or bad. Thanks in advance :) |

Cant wait to get back for good in January 2007!!! We've been here for 4 months (can't believe it's so long  ) We love it too :) It's a very friendly place and nothing is too far away really. |
Re: Adelaide
As someone said on here - you'll only know by trying it.
So far we've been here 2 1/2 months or so and so far so good. ;) |

Re: Adelaide
hey,
I've been here since march 2005 and i have to be honest I LOVE IT! Life is very easy here. there ar some very frustrating aspects, for example Adelaidians CANNOT DRIVE (yes it really does require capitals). Some things are totally ineficient, some things are better and some are just weird, but you can't beat the laid back way of life. no-one takes themselves too seriously and that is all good. Some people say it's dull and there's nothing happening, all i can say is where in the UK did they get to walk along the beach to get breakfast or a coffee, sit there with the paper for a while, make some small talk with strangers!!! (wouldn't get that in UK) When u get here, check out Henley Square, it is one of the best places in Adelaide for just chilling out. Are you coming with work?? |
Re: Adelaide
hey lord Pom,
are you coming over with SAPOL or another job?? |
Re: Adelaide
ooohhh! that was brave on an open forum!!! :D

Re: Adelaide
We've been here nearly 2 months and so far love it. We haven't found a single person who hasn't been friendly. Our kids love school here and have fit right in. The city is clean and really quite nice to look at. It's very green.
But, like the other posters have said, it's different for everyone. You may hate it, while we love it. It really depends on what you are looking for. If you want a big city lifestyle, then maybe Sydney or Melbourne are better for you. If you want a nice family oriented city, then this is it. |
Re: Adelaide
