Additional info. after Oz application
 

Can anyone advise me. Have sent my application to DIMA but want to add additional info. regarding work experience. After reading this forum, I'm not sure I sent enough info and have obtained an additional employment reference. Is it O.K to just send this to DIMA or should I wait for them to contact me and ask for the details? Is it true that your application could be rejected if you have not supplied enough info. or will they simply write to you requesting further clarification?

I would send the additional info. Include a cover letter making clear which
application the information relates to and explaining why your are sending the extra
stuff. I can't do any harm, it could avoid a processing delay, and it should make the
case officer's job a little easier. As for being rejected because of lack of
information, I don't think they would be that heavy handed at first. I think the
application is first checked for content, and a letter is sent asking for any missing
information. Of course, this slows down processing, so it is best avoided.

generally they will notify you if they require more information, it is a little daunting to think that they will reject visa apps on misisn information that is why they ask for telephone number and if they can contact you via email. Have you received a case file number for you application yet?? This is the number needed to be referred to when sending additional information. Dont stress too much they arent ogres ;)
