ACS silence
hello
I sent my ACS application on the 23rd Feb - Royal Mail Swift Air and Registered. Should I be getting an acknowledgement from anyone? Also what are the current time frames for receipt of approval? Ta Dave |

Re: ACS silence
Hi Dave,
The current ACS waiting time is 8-10 weeks. We have already had some approvals for applications lodged in January, but a lot depends on your immigration officer and the assessor. The assessors, in particular, are quite variable in their through put, as they are mostly external. The reason for the current slow processing is the large number of Australian university graduates (December is normally the end of the academic year here) who are seeking skills assessments immediately. Things should be back to normal by April, but there will be another, smaller, surge in July. So we normally recommend to overseas applicants that they plan to lodge their ACS applications between April and July, and September and November. In the case of ACS, which is quite open about its processing time, you may not need to go to the webappcabaret processing time matrix. It's simple enough to ask them by email. Re: ACS silence
Dear Dave,
Same story here: We've sent our application (from the UK) before Christmas, the credit card was debited the 8th of January, we received our (positive, yes!) answer the 4th of March.
