ACS Assessment

Hi there,

Could anyone tell me whether I would be approved by the ACS for immigration.

I have more than 4 years of IT experience, have an advanced diploma in Computer Science plus an MCSD

Thanks

Hi do yoou mean by an advanced diploma a HND (Higher National Diploma). If so with more than 4 years in IT (proven of course) tou would be OK. I applied with HND and 5 years. NO worries.

Hi hsvirk

If you can get ordinary membership of BCS, ACS, or NZCS, you will get a positive ACS assessment. Of course, there are additional expenses in getting any of these professional membership.

On another note, I've read in some places that an MCSD/E is treated as equivalent to an Australian diploma, and thus is categorized in Group B. Then your 4 years of IT experience can be used to qualify you as suitable for migration by ACS.

cheers,
peter

Hi Peter,

Yes, the MCSD is equivalent to a diploma; if you get membership of those Computing
organisations that membership date becomes your date of effect, so it would be better
to go with the MCSD and the four years.
