does anybody know if the date that aspc state that they are processing a case is the date the application is received or the date of acknowledgment.

As far as I am aware it's the date the application is received at ASPC

I posted this on other forums and I keep hearing that it is the acknowledgement date that is important not the date received.

Any ideas.

I think the same as BertieB, that the important date is the date received at DIMA, that's the date the visa is lodged. But really does it matter that much there's only a month between them, what's a month when you've already had to wait so long?
