Accommodation Sheds on Land

Accommodation Sheds on Land
Hi everyone,
Is there any one out there that has any idea of any web sites for accommodation sheds/mobile homes?
We are toying with the idea of living in a "shed" :scared: on some land that we bought on our last trip to OZ. Then we would be on site when the builders build our house
The people on the land next door to our land live in a shed but we have no idea what it's like inside
Has anyone done this and survived without going even more mad after going through this emigrating experience
Any comments very welcome!

Oh and my answer was with reference to this :
Didn't make myself clear.
I'm sure if you own your piece of dirt you can live in a cardboard box if you want.
Actually, most people do live in cardboard boxes if you go by how the houses are built over here ...

You never know it may turn out to be an option, we have no restrictions on our land so it should be O.K.
Another plus point is this particular company is Brisbane based

When you say you have no restrictions, do you mean building covenant, thats nothing to do with council health/building regulations. Contact your council direct because in almost all cases there would be many rules including at least hooking up to envirnocycle (around $10,000) or sewerage and water tanks again around (10,000) or supply if available. Basically providing the same services as you would have to to a house. Permits for shed living also often have time restricitons. Some rural estates appear to have people living in sheds, but all the same stuff inside has to be provided to meet health and safety, regs etc. Theres only one way to find out your local council.

we do mean we have no building covenant on our land. We are just learning all about environ cycle etc. Our local council are very helpful.
We are not sure that we want to go down this route as yet, but would like to look at it as an option. Understandably it seems quite a lot of forward planning would be needed for the sewerage, water tanks, electricity, drains etc. :scared: The main reason for looking at sheds was as an alternative to renting and not being too far from the building work on our new house.
Not that we have mentioned this to the builder
