Default Accommodation rental agents Brisbane

Ok, so arriving in Brisbane approx July/August. When we arrive we will need somewhere to stay for around 3 months while we look for a house to buy. We won't have a credit rating so what's the process of this and are there agents that deal with this? I'd like to have a rental ready to go to when we arrive. Just to make the process harder, the dog is coming to!

Don't organise a rental before you arrive. RE photos are often heavily photoshopped and you do not want to be in a shit hole for three months. Also RE agents/homeowners want to check their tenants out, they can't do that from the other side of the world.

Ideally you would arrange a short term holiday rental (that allows pets although your dog may still be in quarantine so not immediately with you) and then do what everyone else does, build up relationships with as many RE agents as possible. Have proof of funds, character references etc etc copied and handed over so they know you are going to be a good tenant. Be prepared for a bun fight at open days and be aware that whilst there are many properties where pets are allowed there are many many more where they are not.

Check out Realestate.com.au to see what sort of thing is about, although obviously they probably won't be in four or five months time. Good luck.
