Accommodation Help Needed...Pretty Please
Hi all,
The family Three Legs are arriving in Perth for our validation / reckie trip on 17th Feb next year and leaving on the 5th March and as yet we are still searching for decent quality reasonably priced accommodation. We have two small boys, Lucas is 2 and Zak is only a baba so we preferably need a house or a 2 bed serviced apartment. A pool would be nice, in fact it's a must as is air con. We are prepared to be anywhere within a 20min drive of central Perth or the beaches, and we would even consider Mandurah if we have to. Can anyone please help with particular regard to a short term house let which would be brilliant. We've tried Ozstays with little success also Poms in Perth same story. Whilst I'm here can anyone recommend a good hire car company that supplies child seats for the lads ? Ta very much like. Three Legs |

How much do you want to spend? peoples ideas of reasonably priced tend to vary a tad ??? :)
As its only a fortnight your here and your in Mid summer your not really going to save a great deal over normal nightly rates (you need a month or ideally 3 to make any real savings) All I can think of is some apartments that I stayed in for a week (I think there called Mounts Bay Apartments, they were serviced, 1 or 2 bed I think, were fairly comfortable and relatively new, just on the fringe of the CBD so good access into Perth etc. Maybe a good starting point would be to have a look on www.hotelclub.com and see everything that they have available for the period your here, there should be some apartment otions not just hotels. I think the Saville suites on Hay street might be another one worth checking out that offers a similar set up. Im sure there are other about. Your after the schools have gone back so it will of quietened down a bit depending on how you want to work it you could wait until about 2 weeks prior and look to get somewhere through one of the discount websites (same accomodation just sold of cheaper as lastminute deals) try www.bestrates.com.au www.standbyrates.com.au www.wotif.com.au on the car hire, Im not sure that these guys provide the carseats, but I think they give you somewhere else to go and collect them, they seem to be the cheapest for the car hire though. www.bayswatercarrental.com.au Hope you enjoy Perth Steve |

Hi Three Legs,
We arrived on a PR visa in July and stayed in short term accomodation for a week before securing a long term rental. The website is members.iinet.net.au/~mpbb/ and they were excellent. I think we paid $120 per night which soon eats into the budget when you're here for good but doesn't feel quite as bad if its a holiday. The people were called Pat and Carol and are originally from the UK. When we originally visited in 2002 we too hired a car from Bayswater and although they didn't have the car seats they gave us the name of a shop which hires out everything, car seats, cots, stair gates etc. Unfortunately I haven't still got the details but I'm sure if you contact them they'll be able to help. Good luck. Sonia and Andy |
