Default Accommodation for arrival in Perth?

Hi!
We have got our skills visa and are due to arrive in Perth on 3rd October and we are going to be keeping and renting our house in England to begin with. We are undecided as to whether we should try to find a place to rent in Perth before we go or book into a b&b for a week and try to find rental accommodation once we are there. Has anyone got any advice?
Thanks.

I have looked into this and its not that expensive, plus there are things to do for the kids.

Very wise about renting your house out in the UK rather than selling. We sold and came back to the UK, now have a mortgage double what we had in 2003!!

Trouble is with renting before you go is that if you are unsure of the areas/suburbs, then you could get somewhere that may not be suitable.

I would get a B&B or get a short term holiday type rental so you can look at suburbs when you get there.

Good luck

Hi Caz & Andy

Have a look here http://www.movetoperth.com/rental/rentalhome.html you'll find details of fully equipped short term rentals.

or
http://www.movetoperth.com/accommoda...mmodation.html which will give you some help with unfurnished rentals and buying.

You'll find plenty other useful information too.

Good Luck

Poms in Perth web site www.pomsinperth.com.au have houses for rent they also have a meet and greet service. I don't know how much they charge for the rental or the meet at airport service but it might be worth having a look at their web site.

Regards

Theresa

Just looked in the Sunday paper today, there is furnished accomodation in Joondalup for under $300 a week in the holiday section.
Hang on found it.
says from 249 per week, www.joondalupstay.com .
There are quite a few have a look at [email protected] as its on the top of the page and have a look through.

Hope that helps Jenny

Jenny,
The website quotes " $399 ". Must be a error on printed version.

Thanks anyway.
