Accepted Offer on House Today!
At last a decent offer on our house - well the least we wanted to take. The good thing was that we had another offer a couple of days earlier from the first couple who offered and pulled out a couple of months ago. We really didn't want to accept it as they had already messed us around and then offered a further £7.5K less than they did originally - finally coming up to £5K less.
So it was with great please to tell them to sod off
Let's hope this couple are genuine and all goes smoothly. At least now we feel less stressed at booking our tickets for early Jan! Hoorah

Good news best of luck that it all runs smoothly for you.
The house selling is a nightmare the market is really bad at the moment we are getting so frustrated.Still its nice to hear someone has sold.
All the best Dreamaway

Really good news.
Nothing worse than keeping your house spotless incase you get a viewer, you can relax now, and leave your Sunday papers all over the place.

Re: Accepted Offer on House Today!
Thanks for all your replies and good wishes!!
There is also only one other person in the chain who is buying our buyer's house as a Buy to Let - so that's good news too. We're hoping it takes about 12 weeks which would be ideal timing for when we want to leave - otherwise we'll be homeless for Christmas and begging for space in someone's house
I can now go ahead and research our flights. We are chosing between two routes. Either LA-Fiji-NZ or via Malaysia. The second route is circa £800 cheaper so we are leaning towards that at the mo - and planning to spend around 5 weeks touring Malaysia and Singapore enroute. Will be interesting back-packing with our 2 & 3 year old!! :scared:

It really is great when you finally accept an offer on your house. I remember the feeling well, it was almost as good as when we found out we had got the visa.
Good luck with your sale.
