Above ground below ground pool question

Is it me or can I assume that you can sink an above ground pool into the ground? I was having a look here - http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/perth/16193
That looks distinctively like an above ground pool? Or am I wrong? Saw the same thing in a 'holiday let' type house in Brighton. Guess its done for cheapness (is that a word?!) with a bit of decking thrown in for free.

In ground pool is designed not to collapse when empty.. above ground pool is designed not to collapse when full ....
If you sink an above ground pool, it may collapse when empty with the weight of the earth..
As it is designed to hold back the pressure of the internet water not the external ground..

A friend of ours has one in the ground, its pretty good.
When we where kids we lived in Queensland, in the 70s, my parents bought an above the ground pool, and they sank it, it was just as good as the fibre glass one that we have now.

Perhaps, you are best looking at http://www.narellanpools.com.au/ who do fibre glass pools, in ground.

We have an above ground pool that has been set into the ground and put decking around it and its great. It's also a lot cheaper than going for an inground pool.

Clark rubber do a big range, not sure where your nearest store would be.
There is one in Bunbury and about 10 around Perth.

We got ours from there.

If you go inground make sure you have extra $$ aside for extra time breaking rocks, Umm we had about 1 foot of soil before 7 foot of rock!:sneaky:
