Default About Time

Aussie home owners are united - united in their anger that more and more foreigners are sweeping into Australia and virtually stealing our first home owner's grant right from under our noses.

Hands off...

Yes i'll agree that it seems a bit daft that those who already own, or have owned a home anywhere can get an aussie "first time buyers" grant.

Personally....my wife and I have never owned anywhere (we are but young spring chickens), and we will find the 7k very useful, if its still going. My view.....I'll be paying aussie tax for the rest of my life (all being well in aus), and the gaffer has for most of her life anyway, so i think we are entitled to it?

Hope they don't stop it.....maybe just tidy up the legislation....

No I don't think they will stop it. There will be a private member's bill to rectify the loop hole. I gather that all they will change is removal of the word Australia. Thus anyone who has owned property anywhere in the world will no longer be eligible.

Bloody whingeing Ozzies.

It is the responsibility of rich nations like Oz to take in a few chimney sweeps, iron mongers, and resurrection men from refugee nations like England. You will have to shoot off their oars of you want to keep them away - I'll meet you at the beach tomorrow and bring the big gun.

Beach? Did you say Beach?...beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach, beach.

Is this the beach forum? How about the mountains in Lamington, or the pineapple farms in Wamuran or the brothels in Mitchell or the porno supermarkets in Fyshwick. Australia is more than beaches, but not that much more.

Like the big gun though, know where I can get one? The Goverment disarmed me so that the invasion can progress without resistance.

Well, I would meet you at "the sun" but that would be too hot for my feet - I could go at night I suppose.

My plan is to dress us as an asylum seeker from Eastern Europe, stand at the beach and rattle a cup of change at them as they row in. The very idea that there are any asylum seekers here will see off 90% of them. The other 10% are for pom solar panels (groups of them on the roof, peddling bicycles to generate power and not allowed to come down until the sun has gone down - solves the unemployment problem for white collar poms and is green too).

Remember 1066? Etched in our minds mate. Much as 2004 will be for the Ozzies.

Well thought out plan. Watch the use of trinkets though. The newcomers have used these ploys in other times. Before you know it they have your house and car and you'll have some pretty beads and a blanket.
