I had 6 months left on mine See how valuable your info is. I enquired about cancelling it in the UK and they told me I couldn't. It was only when I got to Oz that I found out you could transfer your membership. Something the dipstick in the UK not only failed to tell me he actually said there were no such reciprocal arrangements. |
The 6 months has expired now, never mind it's a useful tip for other members.

Our membership with the RAC in the UK finished on 31st July for this current. We went to the RAC in Brisbane to get an insurance quote, showed them our card, which was no longer valid by one week, and they took all the details from there including "member since ....". Its useful to have that as after so many years you get a slight discount. We insured our car with them, they didn't even ask to see the no claims proof just took our word for it.

We have RAC membership here, good job really! I've left my car lights on twice now and Keep getting flat battery!! (I know, you don't need to tell me!!) I call the RAC and they are out within minutes!!! I can remember I only used them once in the UK and it took them hours to get to me.
A positive post about the RAC in Australia!!! |
