THE nation's jobless rate crept up to 6.1 per cent in June as full time employment dived by 54,000, the latest figures show.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics said total employment was down 27,900.
This was partially offset by a 26,100 rise in part-time jobs for the month.
Total employment for June was 9.51 million, made up of 6.76 million full-time jobs and 2.75 million part-time jobs.
