50th Birthday in Brisbane

50th Birthday in Brisbane
We land in Brisbane on 7th Jan and my hubbie's 50th birthday is on 31st Jan. Anyone have any good ideas/recommendations as to where to celebrate? (we have 2 kids, 9 and 12 as well). Don't know anyone in Brissie, so I suspect a huge party will be out of the question, unless we can make some mates fast!

My hubby & I celebrated our 40ths last weekend & went to Jo Jos in the city, as recomended by some peeps on here. Food was lovely, place was very busy at 8.30, but by 9.30 wasn't too bad, maybe too late for the kids though
That was our first night out onour own since we came in Feb :scared:

I celebrated my 40th last year on North Stradbroke Island, was fab. No family here, it was just the 4 of us and my hubby and the kids did a great job.
