We have time to ourselves between 9.00 a.m and 14.00 p.m on Monday don't want to waste time shopping but would like to see something , any suggestion ???
Also any web addy's for trains need to get to Moorebank from city ??

The Botanic Gardens are well worth a visit as is the Aquarium at Darling Harbour. We also like looking around the Rocks area and it's worth going through the Argyll Cut to the other side where it's a lot quieter (less touristy) and you can visit a couple of the original pubs (The Lord Nelson is a good one).
You do have time to do the Bridge Climb whilst you're there but you wouldn't have much time to do other things (it takes about 3 hours from start to finish - well worth it though).
Hope you enjoy your visit.

one of the most exhilarating things I've ever done! and you can only do it in Sydney, no where else. See the city like it's meant to be seen. Also book before you arrive.

You don't have much time at all, I suggest start from the Bridge, you can climb one of the colums rather than a Bridge Climb, that will take you about an hour I guess in all, then follow the signs towards the Rocks, thru Circular Quay, watch the street entertainers, then lounge in front of the Opera House. Take in a bear or two sat outside the Opera Bar with the Bridge behind you, don't rush it, just chill. Then maybe a quick walk around the Botanical Gardens to Mrs McQuaries Chair (another hour round trip). Or for three hundred bucks do a city helicopter tour. You'll get picked up from town, go to the airport and do a helicopter ride of the city, awesome as well. We did it last year, www.blueskyhelicopters.com. That should cover it. I know you are doing a harbour cruise but I would still do a ferry trip either to Manly or Watsons Bay asits better than any cruise boat. Thats what I would do anyway. Enjoy the two icons that have put Sydney on the map, Opera House and Bridge. I love Sydney, I hope you get chance to enjoy it too.

You can either get a train to Holsworthy (East Hills/airport line) or to Liverpool (another line whose name escapes me) to get to Moorebank. Moorebank doesn't have its own train station. Holsworthy would be best if you can get someone to pick you up from the station.
