5 Days in Adelaide
 

Well, we've been here 5 days now and love it. We arrived on Sunday and by Monday had bought a car. We move from our holiday rental at Aldinga Beach to our On Arrival Accomodation in Surrey Downs tomorrow and I start a new job on Monday. Went to the recruitment agency to see if they could place me somewhere and they asked if I would be interested in working in their office! First interview and offered a job by the recruiter!!! Hubby has a few interviews set up for next week and the kids will be enrolled in school Monday.
One kind of bad thing happened. Our bank in Canada told us that a bank draught would be the same as cash no matter where in the world we went. Turns out she was totally wrong. Every bank we tried here told us the same thing...They need to hold the funds for 4-6 weeks to verify the cheque. Thankfully we left some money in our accounts back in Canada and can access it via the ATM.
We feel very lucky and blessed to have had all the good things happen for us so quickly. I only hope I feel as thankful to be here 5 years from now. And for anyone coming to Adelaide, please pm me and I'll be happy to meet up with you at any time.

We are hoping to visit Adelaide, was gonna do it this year but aren't gonna make it for many reasons - but we will get there next year and see another expat who we've now met since being in OZ! Lovely lady - you know who you are if you read this :D

Anyway, enjoy yourselves as much as you can - chill out and try to take it EASY - ha ha!! Have FUN ;)
