489 Provisional Visa Sponsorship question
Hi All,
My wife is looking to sponsor her sister and her family on the 489 visa. The main applicant is my wife's brother-in-law while her sister is the additional applicant (spouse). I am a bit confused whether she can sponsor or not. The immigration website says : The relative or the relative's partner you want to sponsor must be your: child or stepchild
Does the sponsor have to be related to the main applicant, or can the sponsor be related to the main applicant's spouse as well? Regards Manish |

Does that list say brother in law? Is there a reason why her sister is not the main applicant?
Her sister does not have enough points to qualify on her own. Regards Manish |
Re: 489 Provisional Visa Sponsorship question
But it says at the beginning. The relative or the relatives partner .........
So I am reading that the relatives partner is her sister so that would be OK. |

Not sure if this will help or hinder, but here's a previous BE discussion re in-laws as the primary applicant for a 489 http://britishexpats.com/forum/immig...y-wife-772127/
