457 visa delays
hi, our 457 visa application was done online on 8th April, medicals on 25th April. Still no visa.
check every day for emails saying we have recieved the visa. Is this usual? My partner is due to start her job in Adelaide in at the end of this month(June).
Do DIMIA answer emails from impatience types like us or is it best to sit tight and wait.
thanks
Phil.

There's an abiding myth out there that 457 visas are processed very quickly, and permanent visas slowly.
Not all 457s get done quickly, and employer sponsored PR visas are prioritised - hence there's sometimes little or no difference in timing.
