Hi,
I'm working on a 457 Visa here in OZ. I've been here for 8 years now (as you can see I've had a couple of visas).
Now - it looks as if my employer may be about to liquidate the company and fire us all!!! :scared: I do have a perm residency application in - but who on earth knows how long that would take.
Which would of course invalidate my 457 - and I'd have the usual 28 days to unwind my life, relationship, property etc.. very very scary.
Obviously my employer is obliged to pay repatriation costs - but when happens if the company is liquidated - are the directors obliged to pay, or the person who signed the sponcership papers in the first place ??
