I'm a little confused, have you got PR, or are you on a year visa and after a 457 sponsored short stay visa?

What game you in? as I may be able to give you some contacts if you a leccy or on the railway

cheers

Steve

Your thread title is confusing. Are you here on a 457? Are you the main applicant or is he? Has he tried looking for work other than in his field? Where are you living? Is there a demand in your area for his type of work - i.e. less demand for marine biologists in Alice Springs than say Sydney.

Sorry if i confused people by not making it clear. Sorry!

We are in Brisbane on a 457, i shall be going for my PR with my work when my manager gets back. I am the main applicant, nurse.

I am currently on a 457. I have work. Its my hubby who has struggled for work, he is an administrator, office administrator. Agencies have said he should have no bother with his work history.

I do think when we have our PR he will stand better chance, but for him in the meantime to have some work and see other people and different four walls than ours would be nice for him i reckon. He has tried looking for other work too!

Think yourself luck you aint married to me. You'd find me pissed in a paddling pool, wearing a G string and eating a hot dog every day

Seriously, is he open to a change of career? It may come to that if he can't find what he's looking for
