Default Is 4 cycle shift work done much in australia

I currently work 4 cycle shift in a biopharma company, the company operates 24/7 so these types of shifts are needed . The shift premium for working this shift is 33.3%, I am wondering if this type of shift is done in many companies in Australia, I work 2 days 2 nights 7am-7pm/7pm-7am followed by 4 days off

Not so much in general from what I've encountered.

I think you're going to find that work is work all over the world. Shifts, no shifts,.sometimes good pay other times crap pay, etc.

First things first. Get a visa that allows you to live in Australia. Without that the rest is moot.

I now lots of people in different workplaces in Australia who work 24/7 shifts (including myself). Don't know any on that pattern, and they are all different.
Get a visa first, then get a job. Trust me, worrying about your shift pattern should be way down the list of priorities!

Australia is not Neptune. People have different work patterns same as they do in any other first world country. You really need to stop faffing around with trivial stuff and focus upon whether you can get a visa or not.

Night shift generally pays 30pct more in award type jobs, which would cover all hospitals. Public holidays like today incur 150 pct extra and weekends incur 100 pct or double time. This is for award jobs, which still covers the majority of the population. Overtime under the award system pays 150 pct as well.

As for the shift roll overs they vary widely from place to place.... Personally I do permanent nights and partial weekends and public holidays, Nurses and other medico's do different stints in different regions.

AFAIK the current rate for a base level casual night shift nurse through an employment Agency is circa 50 bucks per hour... thats the minimum just confirmed with my wife who is a psych nurse........more on weekends.

My SiL for instance works at Onslow as a industrial electrician on the gas jetty there and does 10 days on 5 days off..... Fly in fly out to Melbourne.... His shifts vary but to what extent I'm not sure. He is on mega bucks though.
