Re: 4,444,444 Queenslanders
Interstate migration may be because mining boom is over now and people are returing back from WA, NT.
But couldn't understand why so much overseas migration into the state provided its has limited opptys for IT, medical and other occupations. May be because rents/transport is cheaper in Brisbane.

Re: 4,444,444 Queenslanders
Australian population has crossed the magic number of 22 million.
But some questions are
1. Does this include refugees (This is fastest growing chunk)
2. Does it inlcludes Students
3. Does it include 457ers/TRs
4. Biggest of all, are we creating propotionate home/accomodation units so that supply meets the demand and rents don't blow up the roof.

If some people have their way, the population will be 35,000,000 by 2049. Doesnt really matter where they come from or what visa they have, theyll be shitting into the same ocean and slurping all the water and dumping all their waste into the same land fill. Bob Carr seems to be the only voice of reason here.
