I'd be interested in ideas for a single person rent for a few weeks from early July.
To keep me going until the rest of the family arrive (probably early Sep) when we will be looking at long term house rentals for at least a year.

Doesn't need to be big but does need to be affordable whilst sorting work out! Location fairly flexible.

I Have got 10 nights available from that date - shame you are not coming a bit earlier we have a gap from the 18th, but someone else in on the 8th May.

Anyway if you want it for the 10 nights I would do a very good rate as it's a gap filler for me.

Who are you flying with Paul?
We're with Singapore arriving at 23:50 on 28th.
I know of some accommodation availability from that date from my research but suspect that you won't need a 4-bed!

Hi Bal56, not yet booked the flight, but can't help thinking it'll be the same one as you. We plan to book the 18:30 with Singapore Airlines on 27th April.

Could be on the same plane.

Wierd!!

another backpackers which I found superb and really can't recommend highly enough is One World Backpackers, on Aberdeen Street in Northbridge.

www.oneworldbackpackers.com.au

I stayed in an 8-bed dorm there which cost around $130 p/w but they also have an ensuite double room and various other shares. I think rates are on the site. Really handy for the pubs, clubs and restaurants of northbridge, and also easy for the train station and the city. A++++++++

Sorry we can't be of any help with this. Please be careful at the lower end of the market. If you can possibly get someone to check the accommodation out first for you that is a very good idea! We have heard some awful stories lately with people being really dissapointed it's not a great start to your new life here!

The new website www.movetoperth.com will be a great resource as they personally check each property they list and won't list anything up to standard so as that grows that will be a great site for anyone coming over who doesn't like to share their accommodation with 6 legged life forms!

I post on here from time to time if I have vacancies that I can offer at a lower price to fill a gap in bookings. I do so because expats gave us so much before we moved out here and we would have fallen into so many pitfalls without this site. The nature of holiday letting as opposed to long term letting means you can have virtually half a year empty and you won't be out of pocket on your home loan. I would reccommend anyone to give it a try when they come out here - theres so little choice out here and it would be nice to have more places we could reccommend I hate to turn people away. The main sites to check for accommodation are :- www.realestate.com.au www.ozstays.com.au www.holidaylettings.co.uk www.stayz.com.au

I hope this helps someone!

Maxine
