3 piece suite - price comparison

Hi

We currently have a leather 3 piece suite purchased from DFS 5 years ago, it would probably last another 12/18 months, was wondering what prices are like in queensland for similar, or would it be more cost effective to get one here in the sales and ship.

Any advice gratefully received, thanks :)

Our friends in Melbourne brought new leather 3 seater sofa and 2 arms chairs, all with the pull out leg extensions for $2200. Hope that helps.:)

I'd say get rid and get another.... thats what i'm doing. The freighting alone was around £500 for 2 pieces. Theres also the chance it wont fit in to your new home!

Try "the good guys furniture store" it gives a good idea of current prices for all sorts of furniture. I think they are all over Victoria not sure about QLD. Lol x

Hi Louise

Heres a link to Super Amart which should give you an idea of prices, etc. Just bear in mind though, that leather may not be best suited to the Queensland climate.

Thanks for all your replies and the link. Good point about the climate;) not something that I had actually thought about:)

Hi

Leather suites are very popular out here so I am sure you will be able to find one that you like easily. We were originally intending to buy one but decided against it when we nearly melted into one that was too near a window. Likewise they can feel really cold when the air conditioning has been on.

We bought our suite (suede 2 and 3 seater) from Freedom and their website might contain a few leather suites, www.freedom.com.au. It was only $1700 in the sale, which I considered to be a bargain.

Nick Scali is another store that has very nice furniture, www.nickscali.com.au

Hope this helps

Kathy
